Fujifilm: keep innovating
The recent DPReview interview with Fujifilm executive, Toshihisa Iida, elucidates why I've thrown my lot in with Fujifilm.
Sebimagery: Fujifilm X-T1 review - a sight for sore eyes
Too many camera/lens reviews (mine included) lack incredible imagery. Sebimagery's Fujifilm X-T1 review is something else. Great product imagery and great images taken with with Fujifilm's latest. Do yourself a favour and check it out now.
ansible ohmage: Fujifilm X-T1
I took delivery of the X-T1 this morning and wasted very little time fawning over it. I've already shot hundreds of frames with it and mashed it to three different Nikkor Ai/pre-Ai lenses. The world's largest city's largest camera and imaging conference has been cancelled due to a bit of snow and slush. Evidently, that won't stop tomorrow's session from going on. Below is the message I received prior to my first cup of hazelnut-flavoured coffee this morning.
“Dear all,
Thank you for your registration for CP+2014.
Due to weather and paralysis in public transportation,
CP+ Division determined to cancel CP+2014 on Feb.15, today.
On Feb. 16 (final day) CP+ is going to be held as scheduled.
We hope to see you at the venue.
We appreciate your understanding.”

DPReview: Sony A7/r gets the gold!
Obviously, I do not agree with the rating. But then again, I review with an entirely different set of criteria in mind. To me, camera is more than just a sensor. Bad hardware design, poor build quality, and interface ruined it for me.
Thanks DPReview, your A7r gold rating will give the Sony crowd the warm fuzzies.

From the Flickr Blog:
“Imagine waking up in the middle of the night, unable to move and being haunted by your worst nightmares? It’s what happens to those who suffer from sleep paralysis, like photographer Nicolas Bruno, known on Flickr as thewickedend. Nicolas endured these traumatic hallucinations for years. But over time, he learned that photography helped to control them.”
You can see Nicolas' photography through his account, thewickedend. Check out the original Flickr blog post for the whole story.

This may be an isolated case, but surely one to watch. DPReview member, mkandil, describes it in detail in the DPReview forums.
