Antelope Audio’s newest DAC, the Zodiac Platinum, isn’t merely a follow-up to the original Zodiac Silver DAC, it’s a re-think of the series. Thankfully, Platinum sports the same compact shape, the same quality construction, and it is compatible with the awesome Voltikus power supply.

Headfi: Victor HA-FX850 review
Seeing as how I am the responsible party for getting the FX500 to blow up at Headfi, it pleases me greatly to see that Victor's wood FX series earphones are still en vogue. Headfier and fellow Victor fan, Dsnuts, put up a pretty cool review of the HA-FX850 a couple of days ago. The FX850 is part of the newly revamped wood earphone series from Victor.
Dsnuts concludes:
“Done so well that it will let you realize just how limiting other earphones in your collection is when it comes to proper dynamics in a large sounding earphone. A complete sounding phone that incorporates the best of JVC has to offer for the enthusiast..These are what I consider a masterpiece of engineering.. Simply enjoyable beyond belief... Get that image of a cheaper bass phones done wrong completely out of your head. Think TH600/TH900 in an earphone and you might have a good idea what I am talking about here.. An absolutely fantastic example of a single dynamic done right...”
Which is exciting, because the Fostex TH600 really tickled my fancy.
Headfonia: Jerry Harvey Audio Roxanne review
My second ever review at Headfonia is, after a hiccup caused by Ω, live at HFN. On the plate is the excellent Jerry Harvey Audio Roxanne earphone. To put the long short, I love it. It is one of the best earphones on the planet now. And yes, I have begun saving my yennies for one.

Earsonics Special S-EM6 Red Devil Edition available for the month of March
The March-edition of the Earsonics S-EM6 is red, but despite its eponym, its sound is anything but evil. THL rate the regular version quite highly; it might better be dubbed angelic.
Thanks for the tip, THL.

Headfi: Barra's Fiio X5 review
Headfier Barra has published the most comprehensive English review of the Fiio X5 on the net. If you are in the market for a high-performance DAP but can't quite shell out for the AK120 or top-flight HiFimans, the X5 looks to be a good choice. There are conflicting reports on usability, but the majority of portable audiophiles do not invest in an audiophile player for its polish or ease of navigation.

Super Sale: Monster Turbine earphones
I dug these way back in the TMA day back when they cost 200$ and up. They are still great earphones. Today they are 60% off, or 69,95$. Get 'em at Monsterproducts.com.
Headfonia reviews the DACCORD & CORDA Classic
Meier Audio's DACCORD & CORDA Classic reviewed at Headfonia.
“If you’re looking for a setup with an incredible sound stage and a smooth musical and very dynamic sound this isn’t the setup for you. If you’re a fan of neutral sounding units however, where you don’t want your amp/dac to influence the sound and you really want to hear what your headphones sound like, you certainly need to have a listen to the Meier Gear. This is a combo for those who want a clear, neutral, detailed and original/correct presentation of their music. In this price range there is a lot of competition but you should definitely put these Meier units on your shortlist if you’re looking for the above mentioned characteristics.”
