Obviously, I do not agree with the rating. But then again, I review with an entirely different set of criteria in mind. To me, camera is more than just a sensor. Bad hardware design, poor build quality, and interface ruined it for me.
Thanks DPReview, your A7r gold rating will give the Sony crowd the warm fuzzies.
From the Flickr Blog:
“Imagine waking up in the middle of the night, unable to move and being haunted by your worst nightmares? It’s what happens to those who suffer from sleep paralysis, like photographer Nicolas Bruno, known on Flickr as thewickedend. Nicolas endured these traumatic hallucinations for years. But over time, he learned that photography helped to control them.”
You can see Nicolas' photography through his account, thewickedend. Check out the original Flickr blog post for the whole story.
This may be an isolated case, but surely one to watch. DPReview member, mkandil, describes it in detail in the DPReview forums.
Six sections, each with multiple comparison images or enough tech dribble to wag your stick at, Photography Blog's hands-on review is the sort of article Fujifilm X fans really need. They conclude with the following 'buy me' line:
“If you’re shopping for a prosumer interchangeable lens camera, be that a CSC or a DSLR, then you owe it to yourself to very seriously consider the stunning new Fujifilm X-T1.”
Dave Dillon Photography has upped short but sweet review of the just-released but impressive and ridiculously-named Samyang 14mm F/2,8 ED AS IF UMC ultra wide lens for Fujifilm's X mount.
More DPReview gold from the user comment section on Hasselblad's new HV. Using a Sony sensor in a high-end camera is one thing, rebadging a decidedly ridiculous camera into a more ridiculous camera is, as DPReview member, onlooker, said:
“Sad. It’s like seeing your favorite aunt from childhood turn hooker.”
The decidedly technophile/consumer Sony A99 at its base belies Hasselblad's marketing thrust of style, spirit, and soul. But beside Leica, there simply isn't a premium camera maker out there anymore. Japanese camera manufacturer's killed the concept. Still, I can't shake the feeling that Sony were the wrong choice.

Always on the ball, Fujirumors uncovered a telling wedding set by JC C Rafford. It may, in fact, be the first wedding taken by the X-T1.
Thanks, Fuji Rumors.
Despite building the externals of the a7r to less than quality spec, Sony obviously have no trouble organising internal components for maximum repeatability and repairability. Thanks, LensRentals.
