Update: original text conflating Zygon Dragon and agentorangeguy as the same person, has been amended. Apologies for the error.
And fans of quality, role-playing heavy computer games rejoice. The U6 remake will use the excellent Exult engine that brought Ultima VII to modern computing hardware. A few days ago, webmaster, Zygon Dragon, posted the following status report:
“Worked on a little bit of usecode from Moonglow and Paws recently. After Paws is completed, that’s all the towns and cities except for the Gargoyle city as far as npcs go!”
Love it or hate it, Facebook can be a much easier way to interface with fans, deke out spam, and grow interest in new, and interesting projects than a dedicated website. Case in point: since 2011, Zygon Dragon updated fans via the old realmofultima page, often at a clip of 2 or 3 times per year. Despite being open for less than two weeks, Ultima VI The False Prophet Exult Remake Facebook page has already been updated a handful of times.
Ultima fans and enthusiastic makers, encourage Zygon. Let's turn what, for years, appeared to be a dormant project into a beta. The Avatar's the limit.
