In Ryuzoh’s clutches are a Plenue D and an AK100 mkii, mine both. The latter is scheduled to return by 22 May along with my newly-balanced Chord Mojo. The former- well, that depends.
As I mentioned yesterday, the Plenue D is undergoing a mod trial. Evidently, the Plenue D is tighter inside and harder to work with than the similarly sized AK100. Speaking of which, Ryuzoh’s AK100 mod is pretty nice. It’s not as involved a mod as Mezzo Hifi’s MSAK100 mod, but is more complex than the RWAK100 mod. Like many of Ryuzoh’s mods, it can be tailored somewhat to your needs.
Will Ryuzoh be able to lower the AK100’s noise floor? I hope so. The MSAK100 really spoils a man.
But let’s get back to D. As far as I know, no one is has commercialised a modification to the Plenue D. Again, my stuff has drawn the long, guinea pig straw. If all goes well, I assume my Plenue D will come back with tamper signs commensurate to the operation. The pics I took are commemorative. If all doesn’t go well, I’ll be hosting an immolation party.
