DARko: Sony's Just ear custom IEMs, just for Japan

November 4, 2015 ohm

Digital Audio Review's latest, a ditty about Sony's geeked-out custom earphone line, Just Ears, is a good, tempting read. But it's just as poignant:

“At the Fujiya Avic-hosted event, Just ear could be found offering a third model – Night Of The Knife (NK1) – named after the Japanese hit song of the same name but voiced for Japanese anime music and strictly a show exclusive. If you’re reading this, it’s already gone. Sumimasen.

For anyone outside of Japan though, Sony’s engineering talents here are moot: the Just ear CIEMs are just for Japanese ears.”

Finally, hooray! Finally I can snip a bit of text from DAR to create a lead. Been wanting to do that forever, but John wouldn't have it. And so, lazy me didn't link to his site. No copy/paste for you, said John. But his behind is in his pants. Or the pants are behind us. Whatever.

Thank you, John: my patronage is secured.

Sony's earphone is stuck here, in Japan, in the now. Can't cut, copy, or fax it over to you, in the abroad, in the now. Bugger.

Zannen.
