DPReview: X-A1 does IR
It is refreshing when the photographer gets in the way of the technology, and creates something refreshing. DPReview reader, tolleknolle, tricks out the Fujifilm forums with a handful of soft, atmospheric IR photography which split from the norm. They just happen to be taken with a Fujifilm X-A1. And, they are worth a peak.
Martin Irwin: Sakura 2014
It's that time of year again, when the Tokyo documenters like Martin Irwin hit the streets with their favourite bokeh-making lenses and shoot pink flowers and orange lamps. In Sakura 2014, Martin introduces this year's 'special edition', a happy frolicking two weeks, where, between thawing asphalt and blooming trees, Tokyoites drink themselves silly on crap beer and blankets of bright, pollen.
The trip to Sakura 2014 is worth it.
DPReview: Fujifilm's X-T1 light-leak replacements boast better rear buttons?
According to this thread, it may be. My X-T1 (pictured above), with its impossibly recessed buttons, will go back next week for maintenance. I hope it comes back much easier to use.
JR Photography: Helios 44m-5 58/2 review
Some lenses eschew raw line performance in favour of beauty and draw. My favourite Canon 35/2 LTM is one of those. The Helios 44m-5 58/2 in M42 looks to be another. In his review, Jonas Rask does a fine job of relating to what photography it is best suited. All photos in his review are shot on a Fujifilm X-Pro 1.
Fujifilm to fix X-T1 light leaks free of charge
Quick, painless, and responsible. This is why I throw vast sums of money behind Fujifilm.
The original issue is documented in this video.
Going wide in Ebisu
Martin Irwin goes wide in Ebisu with the super Voigtlander 15mm f/4,5 LTM lens and his new Sony A7r.
Horseman VCC Pro - my X-Pro 1's first still life studio outing
The Horseman VCC-Pro is an interesting view camera for both medium format and smaller film and digital backs. I snatched one for a week thanks to the lovely Ms. Nitta, whom I met at this year's CP+. She set me up with Nikon mounted VCC and two large format Rodagon lenses.

Shigma (sic) may have lost this one to the tune of 14,5$ million, but that's okay- their strange sandwich-lookalike DP2 camera is bound to eat Nikon's lunch.

Getty and Flickr partnership at an end
It's been fun (sort of) while it lasted. The good news is that from now on, users can choose what images to submit to Getty rather than waiting for Getty to get around to selecting the images they want in their image vaults.
