If there's one thing to be said of smartphones's affect on photography it's this: it affords (and has for years) ballsy opportunities for intrepid photographers such as the curators and masterminds behind Nutscapes.

Honestly, I don't get it. Chris Dodkin's work is sometimes excellent. But 12 Babes feels very like G-rated tentacle porn with lights.

Handsome Prince Harry takes handsome portraits

His royal majesty, and the prettiest British prince, Prince Harry, takes the above pretty portrait. He takes more, too, appearing a wiz with the Fujifilm X100s. There's more at that most unpretty of tabloids: Daily Mail.

Update: Prince Harry was visiting Lesotho for his work with Sentabale, a charity founded jointly by him and the Lesotho's Prince Seeiso. Sentabale aims to: "help vulnerable children, the forgotten victims of poverty and Lesotho's HIV/AIDS epidemic."

I give you Ugo Cei Photography. Ugo's got loads of great landscapes in his gallery. But owing to me being a Woolf fan, lighthouses have always magneted me in. The other magnet is that Ugo outs himself as a geek. Well done, mate.

Martin Irwin discovers whisky

Says Martin:

Glad to have another contemporary writing under the influence. The other tool Martin wields in his inebriate article, is the classic Jupiter-3 50mm f/1,5, a lens, that even without alcohol, can really skew reality.

Ashtyn Joyce Trider: a new X photography website

DPReview member and Fujifilm X user, Ashtyn01, has just launched the bare bones of what I think will become a beautiful photographic narrative. The few photos on her site show a willingness to explore and create. Hopefully, she will help improve the growing base of X photography out there.
